Byrnes earns NJAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
honors after averaging 32.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game in a 3-0 week
of non-conference play for Rowan. He opened the week by tallying 37
points, four rebounds, and three assists in a 101-89 win over Neumann. Two
nights later in the opening round of the Heritages Dairy Stores Classic,
he notched 33 points and six assists in an 87-82 victory over Valley Forge
Christian. In the championship game of the Heritages Classic, he became
Rowan’s all-time career scoring leader with 28 points and three rebounds
in an 86-67 title game win over Penn State-Brandywine. He broke the Rowan
career scoring mark in just 85 games, and now has 1,635 career points just
seven games into his senior season. Byrnes currently leads the NJAC in
scoring with an average of 26.7 points per game. |

Williams earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after
sparking the Red Hawks off the bench in their first NJAC game of the
season. In the first league game of his career, he posted a team-high 18
points while adding three rebounds in MSU’s 76-68 NJAC road loss at
Richard Stockton. In the Red Hawks’ only contest of the week, he shot
6-of-14 from the field and 4-of-9 from three-point range. Williams
currently ranks 17th in the NJAC in scoring with an average of 11.0 points
per game. |
