Cherry becomes the second different Scarlet Raider to earn NJAC Player of the Week honors after leading Rutgers-Newark to an 82-68 non-conference victory over Hunter in their only contest of the week. In the victory, he tallied a team-high 20 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field and 4-of-5 shooting from the free throw line. Limited to only 21 minutes of action due to early foul trouble, he added five rebounds, three assists, and two steals as the Scarlet Raiders erased a seven point second half deficit for their sixth win of the season. Cherry currently ranks eighth in the NJAC in scoring with an average of 15.2 points per game.

Jones earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after contributing to the Scarlet Raiders’ 82-68 non-conference victory over Hunter. In the win, he tallied a career-high 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the field and 2-of-2 shooting from the charity stripe. He also added five rebounds, one assist, and one steal in the victory. In seven games played for the Scarlet Raiders on the season, Jones is shooting .571 from the field (8-for-14).
