Byrnes earns NJAC Player of the Week honors for the third time this season after averaging 22.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week of play for the Profs. The leading Rowan scorer in both contests, he first tallied 20 points, two rebounds, and two assists in the Profs’ 88-61 non-conference victory over Penn State-Abington. He wrapped up the week with 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field, while adding nine rebounds and three assists in Rowan’s 72-57 NJAC road win at Rutgers-Camden. Byrnes currently leads the NJAC in scoring with an average of 23.7 points per game.

Jones becomes the second different Cougar to earn NJAC Rookie of the Week honors this season. In Kean’s only contest of the week, he notched 12 points and five rebounds in only 20 minutes of action during the Cougars’ 65-63 NJAC loss to TCNJ. Jones, who made only his second career start in the contest, shot 6-of-9 from the field and finished as Kean’s second-high scorer. He currently ranks third in the NJAC in field goal percentage with a mark of .564.
